   Day 1

   Rabat – Fes: Guided Tour of the Medina

   Your private driver greets you in Rabat and drives you to the imperial city of Fes (about 220 km), the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. Enjoy a guided tour of the medina: the Al-Andalus Mosque and its green and white minaret, the Chouara tanneries, the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the exterior of the University of Al-Quaraouiyine, the Zaouia of Moulay Idriss II and Nejjarine Square with its Museum of Wooden Arts & Crafts. Traditional dinner in the medina and overnight in a charming local riad.

   Day 2

   Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Merzouga Sahara

   Head south to Ifrane, the "Switzerland of Morocco", and cross the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas. Continue through Midelt and the palm groves of the Ziz Valley to Merzouga. At sunset, trade the road for a camel trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and spend the night in a desert camp under a canopy of stars.

   Day 3

   Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Ait Ben Haddou

   Witness a legendary Sahara sunrise, then drive through Erfoud to the dramatic limestone cliffs of the Todra Gorge. Follow the road of the kasbahs through Ouarzazate to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, where you spend the night.

   Day 4

   High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

   Visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, backdrop of countless Hollywood films, then cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka Pass to Marrakech. Time to lose yourself in the energy of Jemaa el-Fna, the Bahia Palace and the artisan souks.

   Day 5

   Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

   Drive north to Casablanca and visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, then continue along the coast to Rabat, the elegant capital.
